Blessing
Divine boons that strengthen the faithful and expand the cult's dominion.
In the world of Cult of the Lamb, Blessings represent the divine favor granted by The Lamb to their faithful followers and structures. While not a standalone ritual like Prayer or Sacrifice, the system of Blessings is central to campaign progression, allowing the cult leader to upgrade facilities and bolster follower loyalty through the expenditure of Faith. These boons are essential for maintaining a strong, resilient cult capable of withstanding the trials of the journey.

Lore & Background
Within the lore of the False Believers' influence, maintaining these Blessings is a constant struggle against corruption. The Lamb must actively choose which aspects of their cult to elevate—be it production speed, follower happiness, or combat prowess in dungeon raids. Each upgrade signifies a deeper commitment to the path chosen by The Lamb, solidifying their authority over the land.
In Their Own Story
The Temple air shimmered with golden light as The Lamb approached a weary follower kneeling before the altar. With a gentle touch and a surge of spiritual energy, the blessing washed over them, lifting the shadows from their eyes. Gratitude rippled through the small gathering, a silent vow that they would serve this new deity until the very end.
Reader's Guide
To master Blessings, players must first generate Faith by performing Prayer, Sacrifice, and Trial rituals. This resource is then spent in the Shrine to unlock permanent upgrades known as Blessings, which improve camp efficiency or combat stats. Additionally, The Lamb can individually bless followers within the Temple. This action increases their Loyalty, preventing them from leaving or falling into despair. High loyalty ensures followers remain productive and fight harder during raids. Story choices impact this system by determining how much Faith is generated per ritual and which upgrades become available. Neglecting Blessings weakens the cult's defenses against the False Believers, potentially leading to failure in later stages of the campaign.
